I was amazed with my 7 years old son when this happened a while ago. . .
I was busy cleaning up the non-stop dirty dishes in our house 🙄 (non-stop dirty dishes: because everytime I am done eating and before going upstairs in our room, I will assure that the table is clean and NO LEFT OVER DIRTY DISHES), so to continue the story, I am frying some hotdogs, boiling egg and cooking pancit canton at the same time while cleaning the dining table and washing dirty dishes.
Then this happens, I was busy washing the last dirty dishes which is the rice cooker when I realize I was frying up hotdogs, and it smells burnt now so I immediately turned off the fire and flipped the hotdogs and viola! It was indeed burnt, the half of the hotdogs looks like a charcoal now 😅, but I know it can be fixed by removing the first layer of it, so I apologized to my son nervously, told him It was just an accident and he just replied with this line with a calm voice:
"It's okay Nay! I can still eat it anyways, I do eat burnt hotdog, no worries."
And he continued watching minecraft on youtube.
From that moment I realized and learned something from him, plus I am very amazed and proud of him.
Why? Because he hates burnt food, I know from that moment that I will tell him the hotdog is burnt, I thought he will get mad but he didn't.
I am not a perfect mother, I know that sometimes I can't focus taking care of him and not giving enough attention to him because he has a clingy baby sister. But still he is growing and learning to be a nice kid, he is not perfect also because sometimes, he still have tantrums, because he is still a kid so I understand that.
But with what happened a while ago, I can say that I am very proud of him, because If I am the one waiting for food and it was suddenly burnt by whoever is cooking, I will be getting really mad and will lose my appetite. I am really guilty with this, because everytime my grandmother is frying food it ends up getting burnt and my reaction is not as good as my son 🙈✌️
He maybe knows that I am having a hard time now after my mom left again to work abroad, I can't sleep well, can't eat well and I am really not feeling well also.
While eating he ate the hotdog last, I thought he will not eat it, and just say to me that he will so I don't have to worry but he did finished the first one, trying to chew and swallow it without complaining about the burnt taste of it 🙈😅. Then he offered me the second half because he thought I am still hungry by watching him eating it 🤣.
Moral of the story? I know maybe you have read it so many times in here but it was just the same anyways, the burnt food will not harm you but sharp words will harm whoever did the burnt food 😅, we all make mistakes, we shouldn't focus on mistake's but support those we love.
And I will try to be as good as my son, when it comes with burnt foods 🙈🙊🙉😅
I love you Kuya Buching ko! 🤗😘💕
